The Format

  Sixteen teams, drawn in four Groups of four teams each (Groups 1 to 4). In the First Phase, each team in the Group plays each other once. The top two teams from each Group go through to the Second Phase, the last eight.
  In the Second Phase there are also two Groups of four teams each (Groups A and B). Each team in the Group plays each other once as before.
  The top team in each Group qualifies for the Final, runners-up in each Group play-off for Third Place.
